Pastor Marlin Austin
Pastor Marlin T. Austin Sr., most affectionately known as Pastor Marlin or Pastor Austin, is a testimony of Philippians 1:6 which reads, “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” He is a powerful and energetic young man on fire for God. He is a young man being used daily as a Pastor in the marketplace and countless lives are being transformed and he truly has a passion to help others know Jesus as Lord and Savior.
A native of Baltimore, Maryland, there he faced many of the same issues and challenges of what many of our youth today are facing. But God brought him through it all. Pastor Austin accepted the call to preach on Father’s Day 2008 and in that same year he preached his initial sermon at the Greater Harvest Baptist Church under the Pastoral leadership of the Late Rev. Errol D. Gilliard, Sr. He has been preaching for fifteen years and is totally committed to the up building of the Kingdom of God. Understanding the importance of education, he graduated from Baltimore City Community College for Allied Human Services in 2018. But will always be a lifelong student of the word of God.
God placed on his heart the vision to plant a church and in September 2015 he was ordained to the office of Pastor and officially launched The Anointed House of Prayer Ministries, often referred to as AHOP. He is determined to make a change in the community and edify the Kingdom of God.
Pastor Austin is the Co-Founder and Director of The Help Outreach Center located in Maryland. The Help Outreach Center (THOC) is a community-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to ensure positive and transformative change in the community through education, training, partnership, and collaboration that builds confidence and improves quality of life.
THOC serves people in need from the southwest Baltimore City neighborhoods of Edmondson Village and North Bend and the Catonsville community of Baltimore County.
He has been married to his middle school sweetheart and best friend Tiffany Austin for sixteen years and they are the proud parents of three awesome children, Taylor, Marlin Jr., and Mason.
Pastor Marlin Austin Sr. is a loving husband, dedicated father and most of all a Holy Ghost-filled preacher and a saved man of God.
